The Indie 10 Plagues

This post has been inspired by the one and only Ariel Schwartz; for the past two years, over at his blog, he has gathered the latest and greatest songs to honor the holiday of Passover. For those unfamiliar, Passover is the holiday that commemorates the Jewish People’s liberation from slavery in Egypt. I also think it happens to be a great excuse to listen to some great songs inspired by the hand of G-d. So here it is: The indie ten plagues.

The Plagues (and Songs):
  1. Blood:  The Naked and Famous – Young Blood
  2. Frogs: Belle and Sebastian – Funny Little Frog
  3. Lice:  The Pains of Being Pure at Heart – The Tenure Itch
  4. Wild Animals: Modest Mouse – Spitting Venom
  5. Livestock Death: Miike Snow – Animal
  6. Boils: Forgotten Fields On Fire – Under Your Skin
  7. Hail: His & Her Vanities – Hits Like Hail
  8. Locusts: Women – Locust Valley
  9. Darkness: The Strokes – Under Cover of Darkness
  10. Death of Firstborn: Florence and the Machine – My Boy Builds Coffins
