John Butler Trio: Terminal 5 7/28/11

At the top of my list of bands to see was John Butler Trio, and when I finally got a chance to see them I was not disappointed. John is truly electric on stage, it is a sight to see him play; what can surely be described as nothing short of romantic. To each of his instruments he brings a unique flavor to the show, from the resonating sound of his slide guitar, to the intimacy of his 12 string guitar. From the first chord of “One Way Road,” till when the crowd lights turned on, I was captivated by the gravity of John’s performance.

Below are a few of my highlights from the show, which you can download here from the Internet Archive. Thanks to Mikey for the tickets and Scott Bernstein for taping the show and posting it to the archive.
